About the Media and Outreach Team

The Media and Outreach team works to maintain the online/public presence of SEDS at UCSD through various platforms such as Instagram, Threads, Youtube content, tabling at events, and LinkedIn. The team is ever-growing as we implement new ways to reach out to potential sponsors in tandem with the business team, community leaders, other rocket organizations, and our vibrant community overall.

In this team, we help not only display the amazing accomplishments of our technical teams, we also give back to our community by going out and tabling and presenting at events geared towards the general population. Students are able to practice skills not commonly found in classrooms such as large public event speaking, community outreach, and social media usage; while also growing skills taught in classrooms such as presenting, videography, visual design, and collaboration. We practice these skills while also getting to learn more about the rapidly growing aerospace industry and give back to our amazingly diverse San Diego community.
